Listen closely
We speak directly with teachers, school leaders, MATs and local authorities about the work that takes time, money or attention away from children.
How we work
We spend our time doing two things: building the product and speaking to schools. The second makes the first worthwhile.
Schools decide what we build.
Not trends. Not feature lists. Real problems.
Our test
Every idea has to earn its place by making school life meaningfully better.
We speak directly with teachers, school leaders, MATs and local authorities about the work that takes time, money or attention away from children.
When the same practical problem appears across several schools, we define the smallest useful version that can genuinely help.
We put that first version into real hands, learn what delivers value and improve it from there—with schools still in the conversation.
What that means
A feature is only useful if it removes a clear barrier, saves meaningful time or makes something better for a pupil.
Technology bought for everyone should not end up usable by only a handful of confident staff.
The relationship does not end when a school pays. Feedback, support and continued improvement are part of the product.
“If this is a problem shared by a few schools, we’ll build the first version that delivers value—and then we go from there.”
The SchoolGPT product principle
The best place for a new product to begin is a real conversation.
